Run
The Plot

01 — The Idea

One run. One table.
One morning.

Three plant-based worlds that already share an audience and a set of values come together for one morning in Oceanside. ORUZU brings the run and the crew. Turnip Vegan brings the chef and the reach. The Plot brings the kitchen, the garden, and the room.

No pressure, no hard sell — culture, community, running, vegan food, and music in the same place at the same time. The first of many. The name says the plan: run the plot.

02 — The Run

Start at The Plot. Turn at the pier. Run it back.

03 — The Brunch

Earned, then plated.

A collaborative menu built by The Plot's kitchen with Turnip Vegan — responsibly sourced, playfully irreverent, and worth running four miles for. A working draft for Chefs Travis & Davin and Todd to shape together.

06 — Why It Works

Hip-hop and plant-based living have always run together — think RZA, think Wu-Tang. Nobody's putting it in one room. We are.

An honest fit

This isn't a brand activation pretending to be community. It's a run crew, a chef, and a restaurant who already live these values, doing one real thing together. That's why Jessica's read on the call was an immediate "heck yes."

The first of many

One low-pressure morning that proves the format — run, food, music, culture — and gives all three partners content and a community moment to build the next one on.

07 — Next Steps

Pin July 26 or 27 so everything downstream can be scheduled.

    Owner — Jessica & Nancy + Wally

  2. Bring in The Plot's marketing

Loop in Mallory & Hannah to plan the announcement and ticketing.

    Owner — The Plot

  3. Chefs' menu working session

Travis & Davin with Todd to land the collab dishes — and solve soursop sourcing.

  4. Lock the music

Confirm Nancy's hip-hop DJ set and the patio sound setup.

    Owner — Nancy

  5. Set the ticket & the model

Agree the set price that covers brunch + run ops and clears The Plot's normal service.

    Owner — all partners

  6. Open the marketing window

Target a launch ~3–4 weeks out across all three accounts. (Confirm timing — the noted "weekend of July 29" lands after the event.)
